See what I did there? INTENSE/ IN TENTS
Yes. I, Morgan Britt, slept in a tent, in July, in the pouring rain… And I survived. But it was definitely a huge wakeup call. The realization of all I have chosen to give up so I may go further in my relationship with Christ. Giving up my comforts including my bed, my internet access, my family, and my alone time. The list goes on and on. I have chose to give all this up to follow in obedience the one who rescued my life, so that i may in turn allow Him to rescue others who would not otherwise hear the gospel and know the fathers love.
Jesus said in Matthew 10:39 "whoever loses his life for my sake will find it" and that promise right there, my friends, makes it all worth while. the tears the hardship, and heartache. it is all worth it for the promise of Life from the lips of our Saviour himself!!!
At training camp I experienced more knowledge and spiritual growth than I thought was possible for one week! And that just makes me so excited for the next nine months. The change that the Lord did in my heart in one week was just a foreshadow of the journey to come. Paul wrote to the Philippines "I am certain that God, who began the great work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns." Wow God and his promises are so good! I have nothing but joy and praise for Him!
Meet the 57 crazy, passionate, Jesus loving 17-20 year olds I will be spending the next nine months of my life with!!
